Native Plant Resource Teams

The Native Plant Resource Teams, a program of the Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour, bring together individuals from around the greater San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, to plant and promote California native plants. Teams are organized by interest areas such as Pollinator Pathways, City Trees & Public Policy, HOAs & Communal Living, and Sharing Native Seeds & Plants. They are also organized by region, so that neighbors and friends can assist each other with projects, advocate for native plants on the local level, and get together to share plants and visit each others gardens. Whichever teams you decide to join, you’ll be part of a robust network of like-minded people from diverse backgrounds.

It’s free to join, and all of our activities are free as well. Once you sign up, you’ll have access to our Google discussion group, and can join specific teams of interest. Teams are still forming in some regions, and in the Home Gardening topic area. If you might be willing to take the lead with a team, or if you should have questions, please email us at nprt-info-team AT googlegroups DOT com .

We look forward to meeting you, your involvement, and to supporting each other with questions, tips, ideas and community experiences so that we can bring more native plants into our neighborhoods. Ultimately, we hope that these groups will lead to projects — at any scale, from converting diminutive parking strips to habitat, to the creation of public wildlife-friendly native plant gardens — that will help bring nature home to the places we live in and love.
