No PDF this year

Dear Registrant,

There is no PDF version of the garden guide this year; here’s why:

In 2018 we tried offering a PDF of the guide for the first time.

After the Tour we compared those who had printed garden guides to those who had PDFs. What we found was that engagement was much lower for folks who had the PDFs. Specifically, those who had PDFs:

• Had a much higher no-show rate than people with printed garden guides
• Visited fewer gardens than those who had printed garden guides
• Attended fewer talks than those who had printed garden guides
• Submitted fewer evaluations than those who had printed garden guides

As a result, we are returning to the guide this year. In order to cover the cost of producing, printing, and mailing the guide, $10 will be charged for each guide, which will cover up to four people.

Each adult, age 17 and up, will need to provide a ticket (included at the back of the garden guide) to enter a garden. There are twenty tickets in each guide, which will allow a group of four to visit five gardens.

If you think your group would need more than twenty tickets, just register again and purchase another garden guide.

Children sixteen and under do not need tickets.
