Evaluation

We hope you’ll fill out the evaluation after Brian’s talk.

The Event

There are few things more rewarding than drawing birds to your garden and providing all the elements they need to survive and raise their young. This interactive workshop (on Zoom and YouTube) will explore gardening from a bird’s perspective and then delve into the ten elements that can transform your garden into a bird paradise.

Bring your questions: a team of bird experts will be answering questions from viewers throughout the presentation, and native plant landscape designers Kelly Marshall, owner of Kelly Marshall Garden Design, and Sandra Nevala-Lee, owner of Green Thumb Works, will be waiting in the Chat to answer your plant questions.

Garden Tour Coordinator Kathy Kramer will be moderating this talk; she looks forward to your joining her for this lively conversation!

Follow-up “Choose Your Own Adventure!” to Brian’s talk
Saturday, August 3, 10:00 -12:00

Featuring Brian & Jennifer Dirking’s Bird-Friendly Garden in San Carlos, the San Carlos Native Plant Habitat Garden and the Woodside Library Native Garden (with casual pack-your-own picnic lunch)

You are invited you on a ‘meet up’ style field trip to the mid-Peninsula. You’ll visit Brian & Jennifer Dirking’s bird friendly garden for coffee and muffins, head over to the nearby U.C. Master Gardeners Native Plant Habitat Garden, which is adjacent to the San Carlos City Hall and Library, and then finish at the expansive and lovely 50-year old Woodside Library Native Garden, and enjoy a pack-your-own picnic lunch together.

Many people will be ‘all in’ but for those who just want to participate in one activity or for a shorter period of time, that is fine as well.

This event is open to members of the Native Plant Resource Teams: it’s free to join the Teams, and free to attend our events; please join the Teams here if you would like details on this Adventure.
